Rick Tino - Image Block - 800x800

Rick is a self-taught artist who works primarily with watercolor, gouache or acrylic. His works are created on canvas, paper, board or glass. He draws inspiration from the surrounding area of Gulf Shores, AL.

Rick began drawing early in his life. He began exhibiting his works of art in the early 1980’s. Over the next decade he won many awards and made many friends among his fellow artists.

In 1991 he opened his first gallery in Gulf Shores. It was a highly successful gallery till the day it closed in 1995. 1995 is a year marked by an accumulation of events that took Rick nearly the next 10 years to recycle.

“I look back at what happened to me during that period from 1995 until about 2003, 2004. And I tell everyone that it was a constructive period of reconstruction.

As the year 2005 came to a close, the opportunity came to reopen in December of that year in Gulf Pine Shopping Center. Rick took the leap and by January of 2006 he reopened as Tino’s Fine Art and Frames. The gallery exhibits art by award winning local artists and provides custom picture framing on location.
